I forgot to mention Java version:

Java version "1.8.0_161" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_161-b12) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 25.161-b12, mixed mode, sharing)

The issue was caused by a missing method which was removed during improvements of SchemaLoader. I've reintroduced this removed method and web installer works ok now.

wojciech.kapcia@tigase.net commented 6 years ago

Gabriel, can you check the next nightly release if the issue is fixed for you?

%andrzej.wojcik do you think we could automatically test the web-installer?

Andrzej Wójcik (Tigase) commented 6 years ago

%wojtek I think that it could be possible, but it will take some time to create a proper test for it and if we change something then we would need to adjust test, etc.

Gabriele Mendi commented 6 years ago

Sure, no prob!

I will check tomorrow the tonight's build to see if the issue is fixed.

Hi Wojciech and Andrzej,

I tried this night's build and I made it. There it was an error (see the pic "Error SQL Schema.png" attached) regarding a Sql Server script missing, but I think it was simply bad naming, because I took the similar file, made a copy, renamed (see the pic "File copied.PNG" attached) and the installation went ok.

Now, when I launch Tigase I have a lot of exceptions, like in the log file I attached. Is that something because that components need to be configured?

Andrzej Wójcik (Tigase) commented 6 years ago

I've fixed issues reported in the provided log and used provided a configuration file to verify proper startup of Tigase XMPP Server with this configuration (including issues with names of SQL schema files). I've found a few issues related to rare configurations options used in this configuration file (ie. enabling push component). I've fixed them and next snapshot build should properly work with that configuration.

Gabriele, if you could check next snapshot build if issues are fixed for you it would be great.

Thanks Andrzej, I will!

Gabriele Mendi commented 6 years ago

It seems better, no errors now during the installation. Now I will go and configure it.

So far, so good. Thanks!
