side comment: AFAIR there is no simple way to migrate from one database type to another (including migrating all the data). However, I think it may be a good idea (for 7.2.0 onwards) to create some scripting around it (like for PubSub) which could migrate all the data between different databases types (and we could review as well scripts used to migrate data from other server) -- %kobit , any thoughs?

Documentation mentioned easy migration, but as you said, it's not so easy. Testing out some open source tools to see if it can work with a fairly simple process using Squirrel and an included plugin.

Rejecting issue as no easy solution has been found, and after discussion with Wojciech there is extremely little need for migration from one DB type to another.
