Hi Tigase Team, I wonder if there is an plan to implement this feature? It seems that the old vCard based avatar is choking up the performance a lot when a user have a lot of buddies in roster. Thanks! |

Yes, as it's specified in the ticket it's to be implemented in version 5.3.0. |

XEP-0084: User Avatar is a new form of the awatar service in the XMPP network, that is used by many modern instants messengers. Actualy implemented XEP-0054 is old and ceases to be used in many IM`s. Already some instant messengers supporting only downloads avatars by the XEP-0054 but do not support their upload.
