Exchanging files should not be blocked by the spam-fighting feature of the server. I do see a case in which messages with files are dropped by the server or the communication with the HTTP File Upload component of your server will be blocked. In my opinion, this is a bug in the server (or a deliberate choice made by the XMPP operator), but you should be warned about that by xmpp.jp or this should be fixed by the xmpp.jp operator. |

I have enables spam protection on my xmpp account (xmpp.jp) which has stopped the spam, I am ok with text messages however I am unable to exchange files. If I turn off spam protection on the xmpp server all is OK. Is file transfers regarded as SPAM? If necessary, can someone recommend a free xmpp server with spam protection that doesnt affect file transfer.
I have emailled xmpp.jp but not got a reply.
