%kobit I know it needs to be fixed, but just as an idea. Could you try to discard notifications from Tigase iOS Messenger and check if badge (notification number) will change? |
|
I've found that notifications are not being discarded on the close of a chat. As a result, the badge is not updated. I've fixed this issue in code and it will be part of a next build. However, to fix badge on the new version, you need to discard notifications from Tigase iOS Messenger and force a restart of Tigase iOS Messenger or discard notifications and wait for a new message which will update badge. Few questions:

I will test it when the version is published, closing for now. Yes, we will publish a new small, bug fix version - 1.1 after fixing these all bug we have already found and maybe find within next 1-2 weeks. |

I tried many different ways to discard the notification badge but apparently nothing works. I tried to turn notifications on/off for the app, force restart app, but the number '5' comes back. Do you have any idea how to discard the notification badge? |

%kobit To discard badge, you need to dismiss notifications sent by Tigase iOS Messenger from Notifications Center and receive some new notification, ie. about a new message. This will force Messenger to update badge and after you will read this message badge will be reset 0 - will be removed. I know, it is not an easy thing to reset badge it in this version. |

I have the Tigase iOS Messenger installed and I cannot get rid of the notification number on the icon as on the attached image:
I think it happened when I received a few spam messages and I had these spam chats on my list. I removed all the chats without opening them, so maybe this is why this app icon still have notifications number.
