some issues with mobile app (#404)

Device: iPhone 8, iPhone SE, software version 13.3.1 Siskin IM version: 5.8.1

  1. don`t connect to the Tigase server in VPN (LT2P + preshared key) (VPN option - "send all traffic" is ON). VPN apply exactly my internal DNS (i have checked on the laptop via cmd -> ipconfig /all)
  2. APP unexpectedly close if VPN is ON (click on any menu or button)
  3. option "clear chat on close" - is not working (reopen the app, restart the phone - history don`t delete)
  4. address book is not working (I have allowed access to phone address book. have created some accounts (field: instant message)). But I don`t see these users in the app

  1. We have not tested the VPN setup, but it should work according to Apple documentation. We will review that.
  2. That may be related to VPN setup as well.
  3. "Clear chat on close" is working properly as it deletes chat history when chat (particular chat) is closed from the chats list. If you have message history synchronization enabled, then the app will redownload the chat history upon reconnection - that is not an issue but a correct behavior.
  4. SiskinIM does not ask you for permission to access the address book! so there is now way to allow it to do so. There is no address book integration and it is not on our roadmap at the moment.
