Currently BeagleIM shows notifications for presence subscription request, which is somewhat inconvenient when there is a lot of them (spam).
It would be good to be able to select for which events notification should be displayed (messages, presence sub, etc; possibly with more granularity - messages from contacts only and ignore those from outside of the roster).
This should also apply to the notification number in the dock bubble (i.e ignore the count of messages from outside of the roster)

I've modified Beagle IM to respect "notifications from unknown" setting while generating notifications for presence subscription requests and for incoming MUC invitations from unknown (indirect MUC invitations).
