When I send a message, there's a little "?? Received" message in my lower-right until they view the message, whereupon it changes to "?? Displayed". When I send a new message, I no longer see the 'displayed' message.
Describe the solution you'd like
Can you keep the "?? Displayed" pinned to the last-seen message and move it down as messages have been viewed?
Describe alternatives you've considered
I got the idea partly from Matrix, although I've only used Matrix for group chats and seeing dozens of avatars attached to each last-seen message is pretty noisy.
Additional context
This might be too much nonsense on the screen in MUCs, but it'd be really nice to have for 1-1s.
